Sean Jordan of bassfishingwexford.com reports that with the easterly winds blowing around Wexford for the last couple weeks keeping sea temperatures down the bass have been fairly quiet.
Sean went out on a couple of the milder days for a bass and met a few sea-trout around the 3lb mark which were quickly released. Despite there being plenty of sandeel around the bass remain elusive.
Sea trout fishing at sea
To fish for sea trout a licence is required and the tagging regulations and bag limits apply. The closed season of the local river also applies. Sea anglers are advised to handle any sea trout inadvertently caught with great care to assure their safe return to the sea. More information…
