Productive season on the Moy

Declan Cooke reports from the Moy... The angling season on the River Moy is difficult to compare with previous seasons in that it didn’t really commence until mid-June and angler effort throughout the season was considerably less than usual. Almost all overseas anglers cancelled their trips to Mayo and even Irish and NI anglers didn’t show up in the usual...

Great year for Mount Falcon!

The 2020 season was, as for everyone, a very difficult and strange year with nearly all our overseas regular visitors having to cancel their trips. As a consequence, our numbers of fisherman were way down on previous seasons resulting in us offering day rods for the first time in 15 years. The 2020...

The various fisheries throughout the Moy have all reported good catches except for the Moy Fishery in Ballina where persistently high water has caused the majority of salmon to run further...

Osgur Grieve reports from the Erriff... The following is the angling report for the Erriff August 1st - 18th. August is generally a tough month for salmon fishing and this year wasn't any different. Despite this we had 25 salmon landed during this period which given the low water conditions at times and thus reduced angling effort we did ok...

Foxford Salmon Anglers River Moy Report w/e 16th August

Foxford Salmon Anglers report... A continuation of last week with the river remaining high. The fishing also mirrored last week with 19 fish reported mainly due to the lack of anglers.  However, the river is dropping and more fish are showing all along the river and the coming week looks promising. Only a few more weeks until the season ends,...
