Emma Stanley reports that trout fishing in the Lower Shannon area is very busy at present as the Croneen has made its way back to the Little Brosna and the Camcor over the past number of days. Fishing has been going very well in the Birr and surrounding areas since Friday 30th June with reports of trout up to 4.5lbs being caught on the fly.
