Ronan Cusack reports from a busy Lough Mask:

Plenty to reports again this week, as the Olives make their first appearance of 2016. Weather remains extremely cold, but Good hatches of small cinnamon sedge continue on a daily basis, which results in plenty of surface activity.

Tim Hannon, Ballinrobe, spent a few hours on Mask most days last week and had good results on each outing. Gerry O’Brien, also from Ballinrobe fished with his son Damien for a day last week and they had 8 trout on wets (best fish 2lbs all returned). Ronan Cusack and Gerry Moran had 8 on Wednesday last, on a combination of wets and buzzer (best fish 2.5lbs all returned). Eddy Gibbons, Tourmakeady, fished with John Murry on Saturday and they had 4 trout for their efforts (best fish 1.5lbs all returned).
