Arva area is fishing well this week for the festival despite the bad weather and rising water levels.  Here are some daily weights recorded Bob Brown 42 kg, David Warde 39 kg, Graham Firth 37 kg, Neil Parkinson 36 kg and Bob Nudd 28 kg.

Big Roach have been reported at the Castle stretch on Rann shore also good Perch at boat house swims on Killykeen.

There was a competition on the Finn last week and good mixed bags were recorded.  Generally nice Tench are being caught early morning.

There are quite a few pleasure anglers fishing the Cootehill area during the past week and they report good bags of fish.  Lough Sillan has been producing good Bream up to 5/6 lb. with plenty of hybrids and roach.  One angler bagged 120 lb. mixed bag in one day.  Corravoo is giving 20/30 lb. with plenty of skimmer Bream and good Roach.  Halton’s Shore on the Dromore River is producing all Roach while Baird’s Shore on White Lake is giving 50/60 lb. mixed bags.  There was a report of a 10 lb. bream recorded at Deredis on the River Annalee by a English angler and we hope to have more information next week.
