New match venues for the King of Clubs? Match fishermen turning up for the King of Clubs next Monday (September 12) could find themselves tackling two venues not used for this tournament for the past 10 years or more. Inland Fisheries Ireland has introduced Killykeen on Lough Oughter and Haughton’s Shore on Garadice Lake into the melting pot of venues for this prestigious five-day event. The match HQ is the Breffni Arms Hotel in Arvagh, which is central for both fisheries and the usual fish-filled venues on the Lough Gowna system and a final decision will be made on Friday after checking local water levels. The guaranteed first prize is £1,000 plus optional pools. All match entry fees are returned in prizes including £50 for the top a weight from every five anglers every day!
