Last week saw some fantastic bags of fish coming off many of the lakes in the Carrickmacross area despite the unusual weather and water conditions. Visiting anglers from the UK , France and local anglers had good sport at a number of venues in the area. In addition to the usual catches of quality roach, hybrids and skimmers some nice tench and carp up to 18lbs were caught as well. Coarse anglers can look forward to some great coarse angling over the next few weeks.
