Peadar O’Brien reports that the Carrickmacross Coarse Angling Club club ran their first senior competition on Sunday last 11th November at the Brothers Lake on the Dundalk Road. Conditions were difficult and the fishing was hard but contestants persevered. Competitors had plenty of small fish but the winner of the event Emma McMahon had 3 lovely skimmer bream which boosted her final weight. Emma won the competition with a nice net of 3lb 12ozs.
