Every Angler has their chosen fish species, and one high up on Michael Flanagan’s list is the colorful Perch. They provide Anglers with exciting fishing all year round, and in recent years winter perch fishing has taken off across the Midlands. All the lakes in the Mullingar area hold Perch, and last weekend Michael managed a few lovely fish on Ennell with visiting Angler Marty Smith from England. It was tough going in choppy cold conditions, but the perch could not resist colourful Muddler Head Lures.
