Angling guide and APGAI Ire instructor Eamonn Conway reports on a recent outing to the Annalee River. Despite the water having a tint of colour there was good fishing to the dry fly and Eamonn had a few very nice trout to over 1lb in weight. There were very good hatches of olives and mayfly and the trout were feeding avidly on both according to Eamonn. Nymphs were also producing some fish but were not as effective as the dry fly.
