The Rye Water has been running at a far better level over the last few days and fishing with a variety of nymphs such as PTN’s, Hares Ears or Copper Johns can be very exciting during daylight hours, says Rob Love of Carton House Fishery. Rob adds that evening time fishing (especially just before dark) is fantastic given the large number of sedges on the water.  He recommends anyone fishing the river should start with his own favourites – “CDC & Elk and Elk Hair Caddis are certainly worth a go”.
