Charter skipper Mark Gannon reports on deep sea fishing for his clients on his two boats operating out from Courtmacsherry. The fishing off Courtmacsherry has been very good the last week with the inshore,reefs and the offshore wrecks and sharking all producing good fish.
Inshore the Bass reports have been great with several fish reported in double figures mostly caught on lures.
Fishing on the reefs good catches of Pollack,and at anchor conger to 40 lb. with some fine Ling as well.
Offshore the wrecking is good with Ling to 20 lb., pollack, Haddock and medium cod. Sharking has been very active with fish tagged to 2.25m, on the bottom while sharking plenty whiting and Haddock (that’s if you can land them before the sharks get them!)
Paddy mc Keon and Mike Kelly both had Specimen Whiting along with landling good Blues.
