Deep Sea Fishing update from Skipper Donie Geary operating from Cork Harbour.

Hello again. had my first angling trip outside the harbour on Sunday
with a group of 5 anglers we departed at 9.30am
I decided as low water was at 11.30 am we would concentrate on whiting for the flood tide.
We went about 6 miles south/west of Roches point where we had a beautiful drift in flat conditions, but apart from some very small whiting and cod and a couple of nice gurnard, the shock …on everyone’s faces when on of the lads pulled in a full house of fine mackerel followed by about 2 dozen more.
We spent the remainder of the day working different areas and even with fresh bait fishing was slack enough.

We ended the day with 3 ling a few nice whiting and a couple of codling. A good start to the season even though, the fishing could have been better a beautiful day to be at Sea.! and the Anglers enjoyed their trip.
