Angler Peter Claydon was on a cruiser holiday last week on the River Shannon. Having taken a boat from Carrick Craft in Carrick on Shannon he found some great fishing in the Drumsna area where large amounts of roach and roach x rudd hybrids are shoaled up.

Peter and his angling partners reckon they had at least 100lb in a sitting with the top roach weighing in excess of two pounds in weight.

There are no bream at the moment but Peter tells us there should be better bream fishing there later in the Summer.
