Ballybay Anglers report:

The Traper – sprzęt wędkarski Championship was held today on Lough Muckno.
54 anglers fished the event coming from all corners of Ireland.
All anglers met at the usual venue of Waters Car Park, Castleblayney where the draw was held promptly at 9am.
Les Harris was on hand with fresh maggots, castors etc.
Sections fished were Black Island, Yellow Island and Concra Wood.
The weather was favourable and the catches consisted of roach with a few hybrids showing up, method mainly used was long pole short line.
After the match Artur had a large pot of polish soup available for any angler needing a bit of a pick me up.

Thanks to Mark for all his help today, and also to everybody else who helped with the weigh ins etc.

4th Ewan Weed 5.100kgs

are open to all anglers. We run a successful 2 day match every year during the month of July, with entries growing in this each year. We also hold an annual match with the Fishmaniak Fishing Club, which is one of the matches we look forward to each year.
