Eileen Carroll Murphy IFI reports from the River Bandon week ended Sunday 17th April 2016:

River Bandon

There were 3 salmon reported last week and a couple lost. Two of these were on Bandon anglers’ waters and the third was on the upper river. The river is at an ideal height for the fly at the moment.

The Bandon Salmon Anglers report a steady trickle of salmon scaling the river all the time. Spinning has been the most successful method for their members so far this season. Prospects are great as the water is dropping slowly, tides are building and cloudier conditions are forecast for the coming days.
