The Suck Valley Angling Hub report that the newly developed stretch at upper Donamon was put to the test on Sunday and it past with flying colours…
Cathal Hughes from Galway won the Suck Valley Angling Hub match fished on Sunday, 11 December with 263 roach on the pole for 11.520kg. Mark Leonard on the next peg was second with 10.340kg on the pole also and bill Cassidy was third with 10.300kg on a 6 metre whip.
It’s fantastic to see such good fishing on a stretch recently developed by IFI and proving that their hard work was put to good use. The hard work put in by Bill Cassidy and Andrew Ely on this stretch is very much appreciated by everyone their trojan efforts and much arguments with the relevant authorities to get this stretch developed will in the long run be very much worth it. Well done lads.
The Suck Valley Angling Hub was set up to promote angling in the Suck Valley area, and also to organise major competitions and festivals.
