In 2012 Gavin Walsh took on a task that generations of Irish coaches had avoided. He took our junior development to the next level and through his dedication and support we now have Youth Team Ireland on the world stage.
Jack Tisdall has now taken over the role, Jack who has many years experience on the world stage himself along with assistant manager Shane Kavanagh are preparing to head to Portugal with the 2016 U18 and U23 teams next month.
Your chance to fish for Ireland – World Youth Angling Championships 2017
Now for the first time the World Youth Angling Championships is coming to Ireland next year and it’s your turn to get involved. With the event on home ground on the mighty Inniscarra Lake in Co.Cork we will present teams in all three age categories U15, U20 and U25.
The teams will be selected over two qualifying weekends at Inniscarra Lake TDL on the 25th & 26th of June and the 18th & 19th of September.
It doesn’t matter what standard your fishing is at our coaches and senior international team members will be on hand to help and advise.
