The Bandon Angling Association reports on the first day of the season:
Beautiful weather for a first cast on the river today. A lot of change has occurred in some pools after the winter floods and it will be very interesting to see how this affects fishing as the season progresses. No springers to report, only a few very well mended kelts, mostly to those spinning. A big thank you to the Munster Arms Hotel for providing much needed refreshments after our days fishing and to club members who attended.
