Mullet on the fly from Cork estuaries

There are some mullet being caught in estuaries at the moment. Eire Bass guide Richie Ryan was guiding his son recently and Cian managed to hook a nice sized fish , his first mullet on the fly. Both father and son were well chuffed , but father caught nought that day !

Richie is passionate about catching mullet on the fly and is saddened to see the very slow growing species being commercially targeted in estuaries. There is a decline in numbers as a result.
