French angler Daniel Hodeau visited the River Boyne over the weekend and spent some time fly fishing for trout on his second day with angling guide Peter Cunningham.

Water levels were good but as fly hatches were sparse Peter decided that it would be best to try some nymph fishing techniques. The strategy paid off and Daniel caught and released some very nice wild brown trout during his visit.

Daniel had already had his first salmon with Peter on Day 1 so all in all it was a very good first time trip to the Boyne Valley.
