Waterford and District Coarse Angling club report on their juniors day at Oaklands fishery:
Waterford Juniors had an outing to Oaklands Lake, New Ross this Sunday for a coaching and pleasure fishing session with the prize giving for the league and the final match. The young anglers got the chance to try out waggler, feeder, pole and whip fishing under the expert guidance of the clubs coaches.

The Oaklands carp were as obliging as usual with everyone catching a few as well as rudd, skimmers, perch, hybrids and an eel. They may not have matched the huge weights of the adults on the other side of the lake but everyone went home happy having caught a few big fish and picked up a few tips along the way.

Well done to everyone who took part and a big thanks to everyone who helped run another successful league this year. We will be having a Christmas competition and all Ballyshunnock Junior Ticket holders are welcome.
