Brian Bohan reports on his day’s fishing in the 2nd round of the Sheemore Angling Association Winter League fished at Albert Lock…
Drew peg one not so bad I thought, a good start to the day. I fed 4 lines; underneath the jetty, to the right of the jetty, at 6 meters out and 12 meters. I threw in one ball to each swim. I started underneath no bite. Tried to my right no bite. Went out to 6 meters no bite. Cast to 12 meters nothing…
And so this continued for 4 and a half hours. I tried every inch of my peg all day – nothing!
Then in the last half an hour they just turned up to save what i thought was going to be my first blank on Albert Lock. I ended up with 4 lb 7 oz and a section win.
Well done Mary Tigwell who finished first. The top 3 anglers and their catches were:
- Mary Tigwell 11lb 15 oz
- David Oddy 11lb 14oz
- Pat Tigwell 10lb 9oz
