Monday 5th July to Sunday 11th August 2019.
There were much better water levels in the Owenea this week after last week’s drought conditions. Monday started with fair water (0.18m). On Tuesday we received a good flood (0.40m) and also a good flood (0.38m) on Friday with lovely water levels either side of these floods. The gauge average for the week read a lovely 0.27 metres. 17 visiting rods fished for the week. We are awaiting details on some catches. Michael McCrory had a good week catching 5 fresh salmon for the week. On Wednesday he recorded a 5lb grilse caught on fly from beat and on Friday he reported 4 grilse weighing 4, 5, 5½ & 10lblb caught on fly from beat 7.
