Monday 22nd to Sunday 28th July 2019.
There were good water levels on the Drowes over the week with the gauge reading 0.62m on Monday. The river dropped steadily as the week progressed but still read a nice 0.53m by the end of Sunday.
Despite the much improved water levels, the river didn’t fish as well as we expected although there was still some 15+ salmon recorded.
Probably the highlight of the week was Ex Trout and Salmon features editor, John Wilshaw and his sons visit. John recorded 4 salmon caught and 4 lost on the fly and the son landed 2 salmon also and lost 2 on the fly.
