19/9/19 Luxembourg Currane fly Angler, Bob and fishing out of www.lakelandshouse.com and fishing with his Gillie Mr. Neil O’Shea of www.oshealoughcurrane.com caught two Sea Trout on the drift. Staying in the Sea Trout department, Michell Henry, fishing out of www.butlerarms.com caught 3 Sea Trout on the drift. Wind SE light to fresh with bright sunshine all day. Yesterday’s weather, maximum air temperature 18.2 c.
20/9/19 Lough Currane was on the wild side and going by the Lough Currane phone department it was all quiet on all fronts with a strong gale from the SE, that’s not surprising but don’t be surprised if there is an update in the Salmon and Sea Trout department. Well low and be hold many a word spoken in gesture, breaking news just in, Currane Fly Angler Michelle Henry, fishing out of www.butlerarms.com caught a 5 lbs. Grilse. Wind as already stated and bright and sunny all day. Yesterday’s weather, maximum air temperature 20.8 c.
21/9/19 It was a wild start for the Currane Fly anglers today but headed out they did and we start on the North Shore and the Bungalow, Currane fly Anglers from Luxemburg, Bob and Romy, caught two Sea Trout on the drift, their best was 1 ½ lbs. while fishing with their Gillie Mr. Tom O’Shea and fishing out of www.lakelandshouse.com it was wasn’t long before they called it a day. Staying in the Sea Trout department, Michelle Henry, fishing out of www.butlerarms.com caught two juniors, and a good basket of Brown Trout. Last but not least, Currane fly Angler, Mr. John McGee, caught 4 Sea Trout on the drift while fishing with his Gillie Mr. Neil O’Shea of www.oshealoughcurrane.com Wind SSE strong and overcast and heavy rain at times and I would say the majority called it off early and if they didn’t, no comment. Yesterday’s weather, maximum air temperature 19.3 c.
22/9/19 We start at the Bungalow and end at the Bungalow, Currane Luxembourg Anglers, Bob & Romy caught 4 Juniors on the drift and Guided by Local Gillie Mr. Tom O’Shea. Staying in the Sea Trout department, Currane fly Anglers, Mr. John McGee and Mr. Neil Shiers caught 11 Trout on the drift while fishing with their Gillie Mr. Neil O’Shea of www.oshealoughcurrane.com and in Neil’s Hired out boat department, Neil had 3 boats out and between the 3 of them they had 25 Trout and just for the record there were 12 boats out and if my mathematics is correct, 7 boats failed miserably either with fly or the phone. Wind North in the morning and veered West in the afternoon with reasonable cloud cover. Yesterday’s weather, amount of rainfall, 21.5 mm. Maximum air temperature 17.9 c.
23/9/19 Again the Currane Fly Anglers headed out on to a wild Lough Currane, but this didn’t deter the Bungalow Salmon and Sea Trout station from heading out before the Waters dictated the anglers proceedings, they are as follows, In the words of Local Gillie Mr. Tom O’Shea and I quote only two hours, my clients Currane Fly Anglers Bob and Romy from Luxembourg fishing out www.lakelandshouse.com caught 1 Junior and called it a day. Staying at the Bungalow, UK Currane fly Anglers fishing with their Gillie Mr. Neil O’Shea of www.oshealoughcurrane.com caught 3 Trout and considering there was a flood yesterday and today and strong winds today from the SE then Veered SW in the afternoon they did well and for the rest of the Currane Fly Anglers, you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to know they headed for the Inny. Yesterday’s weather, maximum air temperature 16.5 c.
24/9/19 On lake side the Currane Fly Anglers were at a standstill thanks to a strong SW wind blowing all day and followed by a fair bit of rainfall and talking of rainfall there was a good flood coming down the Inny this day and as I said the Currane anglers were quiet and My Noble Inny Anglers kept their own council. Today’s weather as already stated, yesterday’s weather amount of rainfall 13.3 mm. Maximum air temperature 18.3C.
25/9/19 Currane Anglers today were all quiet on all fronts but the same couldn’t be said for www.lakelandshouse.com hired out boat department, Mr. David Delap was well satisfied with today’s Trout fishing and rose plenty trout all day, they may have taken short but at least there was some great action. Now for catch of the day on the River Inny. Currane / Inny Fly UK fly Angler, Mr Khem Joory and Currane / Inny Fly Angler, Mr John Hanson, caught 10 Salmon on the river Inny today (all released) and they were delighted with their fly fishing and on a personal note its great see Khem back on the Waterville fishery manipulating his flies and I can say without any fear of contradiction in the fly department he’s as good with his right hand as he is with his left. Just for the record their Gillie Mr. Frank Donnelly of www.lakelandshouse.com reported to me that in his hired out boat department, Currane / Inny Fly Angler, Mr John Hanson has caught 33 Sea Trout and same goes for the Brown on the drift, you could say approximately 66 Trout on the drift. Wind SW and overcast and a good amount of rainfall. Yesterday’s weather, amount of rainfall 7.8 mm. Maximum air temperature 16.1 c.
