Moy system WE Sunday 25th August 2019.
Angling effort was poor, water levels continued to fluctuate and with very mixed weather angling conditions remained difficult. 136 salmon were reported caught with 95 of these coming off five fisheries and the remainder spread out across the system.
Ballina Salmon Anglers had a reasonable week with a party of French anglers getting a fish each.
On Mount Falcon Michael English from the UK. Had 5 fish for two days on spinner, releasing four of them.
Foxford Salmon Anglers in conjunction with the Riverfest festival held their annual competition for the Foxford salmon anglers cup, Glen Newell from Belfast took the top prize with a fish of 8.25 lbs.
On Cloongee fishery Thierry Coulm and Beatrice Valaize from France had 7 fish on spinner all released.
On East Mayo anglers water Frank Sommer Germany 10 lbs on fly, Alan Miclethwaite UK. 4 lbs on fly released and Ronan McGovern Kiltimagh 8 lbs on fly released.
