Charter boat fishing from the Clare coast went right to the wire last year with trips to sea as late as December 30th. Eager anglers had to wait a while to get out in 2019 due to weather and sea conditions but the first trip out this year was on the 2nd February. The Lady Gwen took to the waves in beautiful sunshine under the careful hand of skipper Sean Maguire. Her anglers enjoyed catching Pollack and dogfish, but only because they were wrapped up warm. It might have been a sunny day but it was still biting cold on the Atlantic!
