07 March: Congratulations to long time visitor Frank Sandkuler landing a nice fresh fish this morning on pool 10. The fish another from our hatchery program. Also, well done to my son Tadhg who landed and released his first fish of the year this afternoon in pool 6 (Boat pool) .

09 March: Another fish from the river this morning. Congratulations to Christian Gerold from Germany who landed a nice of 10lbs from Blackstones.

10 March: Two fish this morning. Conditions have been perfect, enough rain to keep the levels up enough for fishing, but not enough to dirty the water. Should be good for the rest of the week too.

Go Fishing…

The Upper Caragh Fishery is a very well-developed fishery. It has fantastic access with stiles and footbridges along the full length of the fishery.  It has well maintained banks and anglers’ huts are provided on many of the beats. The Upper River Caragh can be fished from both boat and bank. Fishing is also available on Cloon Lough and the fishery provides access for anglers with reduced mobility. Boats for hire and guide services are available at the fishery.
