Very tough fishing in harsh conditions for Munster Coarse Anglers

Munster Coarse Anglers report on round 4 of their Winter League…

Not the best of days! High water levels had put pay to our usual haunt’s so after a bit of a recce by a few of our members last week, and with encouraging results, it was decided to fish the penultimate round of this years winter league on Craig’s Lake.

Results were disappointing with 6 Did Not Weighs and only 3 anglers caught more than one fish. Needless to say in was a hard day. There was constant wind and biblical hail showers. But despite the harsh conditions and poor fishing almost all stuck it out to the end.

The old scratcher himself Ian Kelsey won the day with his first fish an 8oz skimmer weighing more than the sum total of all the other put together.

  • 1st Ian Kelsey 10oz (3 fish)
  • 2nd Ray 3oz (5 fish)
  • 3rd Trevor Montgomery 2oz (3 fish)
  • 4th Paul McCaul 1oz (1fish)

Everyone else DNW.

Things can only get better…
