CM Lakelands report on the last round of their winter league fished on Muckno on Sunday…

01 March: First club match of the year today on Lough Muckno. 21 anglers fished and the 2 sections used were South Lodge and Yellow Island.

Fishing was better than recently with better quality roach being caught through the match.

Water levels were extremely high, but thanks to the great work that has been done on Lough Muckno, we were able to fish the match comfortably.

  • 1st was Lough Muckno specialist Piotir Horbinski with just under 5kg.
  • 2nd Neil Mazurick with 4.220kg.
  • 3rd Alan Larkin with just under 4kg
  • 4th Dave Worsnop with 3.480kg.

Section winners were

  • Aaron Hutchman
  • Shamie Winters
  • Adrian van de Heer
  • Darren Fairhurst

On another note, it is great to see the club membership increase, making it one of the biggest fishing clubs in the country.
