Anthony from Tulla District Angling Club reports on a couple of angling competitions in Clare:
Busy day yesterday with a coarse match in Silvergrove and a pike match at the O’Donnell shore.
The coarse match was well attended with Ian Kelsey coming out on top with 13lb 4 3/4 oz

2nd Cathal Hughes with 11lb 7 3/4oz
3rd to Ray Linton with 8lbs 10 1/2 oz.
Daniel weir put up a good show for the jrs with 12oz
The next match is on August 23rd at Kilgory
The pike match was lively affair:
1st went to Lukas Suminski with 168cm
2and to Daniel Boyle with 160cm
3rd to Cameron Fu Lynch with 93 cm.
The pools.also went to Lukasz with a fish of 102cm
The next competition is on Sept 6th on Clonlea
