W/E SUNDAY 26th JULY 2020
The Lee system produced decent catches for the week despite continued low water with the lower part of the river producing good results. At the Anglers Bridge, 9 grilse were caught. With a good build-up of salmon at the waterworks weir 30 salmon/grilse were taken for the week, all fish captured were mainly taken on shrimp.
W/E SUNDAY 2nd AUGUST 2020
With large congregations of salmon holding in the upper tidal stretch of the north channel during the low water conditions a welcomed flood mid-week allowed these fish to move upstream and in turn provide great sport on all stretches as the week progressed. Up to 70 salmon ranging from 3-13lb were caught on all methods including fly and spinner throughout the river in the second half of the week. Anglers reported that it has been the best run of fish in many years giving the difficult low water conditions in 2018 and 2019 seasons which were coupled with poor returns.
