Ballinamore Angling Club had a great day on the Ballinamore Canal recently with 20+ young anglers turning out despite the forecast of unfavourable weather. Our NCFFI coach Colin Moffit and club members Paul, Mick, Lee and Steve were delighted to support the festival committee in the running of the competition providing equipment and technical help for the competitors.

Congratulations to Samuelis Navickas our winner on the day presented with a perpetual cup donated by David McCabe of the ‘Poor Scholar’ where it takes pride of place and the fish trophy to keep donated by the Gallagher Bros.

Ballinamore Angling Club are members of the National Coarse Fishing Federation of Ireland and were delighted to see this super bunch of young anglers enjoying the fantastic angling facility at the heart of our town. The club will be working on future events to address the local appetite for fishing.
