Lough Arrow Anglers report…

It has been another relatively quiet week on the lake.

Anglers fishing out from Dodd’s Boats reported catching a few small trout, with nothing of any size. Paul Mc Tiernan, Ballyfarnon, fishing with Ken Murray, Drogheda, both caught a number of small fish on olives and wet flies. Gerry Martin, Ballindoon, caught three fine trout on olives and buzzers during the weekend, with the best weighing over 4lb.

Reports are that there have been good hatches of mayfly on Lough Key over the last few days so hopefully this time next week the fly will be up on Arrow. People have different thoughts on how long the fly comes up on Arrow after Key, is it one week, two weeks???

My mates are on their way!

Mayfly Competition has been set for 14th May. Note: this competition starts at 10 o’clock – an hour earlier than our other competitions.
