The All Ireland Canal Championships will take place this weekend, Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th of April, in Daingean, County Offaly. Fishing will take place between 11.30am and 4.30opm and we’d recommend anyone who wants to see the best in action to get down there and see how it’s done – especially any of those younger anglers who hope to compete at the top level or those who will be taking part in the Youth Canal Championships on July 5th.
There will be 35 top Irish match anglers taking part and the headquarters for the weekend will be the Blackthorn Inn.
