This report from the National Coarse Fishing Federation of Ireland:

The two-day NCFFI Inter-Provincial Team Championships concluded on Sunday, with Ulster crowned the 2025 Champions. The event, hosted by the Connaught Fishing Federation, was held across five venues in County Leitrim, including Lough Garadice (Haughton’s Shore & Connolly’s Shore), Kiltybardan, the Woodford River (Ballinamore Canal) and Lake Awaddy, all centred around the headquarters in Drumcoura City, Ballinamore.

All four provinces were well represented, with competition fished over a variety of waters, some challenging—made more difficult by a heavy downpour on Friday night. Despite the conditions, there were still some good catches across the venues.

Ulster led from the front, finishing Saturday with 19 points and adding 21 points today to take the win with a total of 40 points—a commanding 9-point lead over last year’s champions Munster.

Final Team Scores:

  1. Ulster – 40 pts
  2. Munster – 49 pts
  3. Connaught – 50 pts
  4. Leinster – 61 pts

A big thank you to the Connaught Fishing Federation and the Ballinamore Angling Club for their excellent hospitality and the smooth running of the event.

Great efforts from all the provinces —well done to all who participated!
