The Leinster Pike Angling Club held their first competition of the year at the weekend, and they had some quality fishing with numerous 50lb+ bags recorded. Rodney Gaynor was the top rod on the day, as he landed 21 fish for a combined weight of 68.5 lbs. Luke Kearns came in second as his 23 fish totalled 62.13lb. And third place went to Donagh O’Connell with 18 fish for 50.4lb. James Callaghan had the best fish of the day with a nice 15.2lb pike.
