Mick Flanagan, of Midland Angling and Shooting, has been back in action on the midland loughs this week after opening day on March 1st. Mick fished Lene and Owel with his old pal, Marty, and both men did well on Lene, though Owel was a tougher nut to crack. The rainbows have been feeding hard on sticklebacks and fry in shallow water, so trolling small lures was the recipe for success and some good sized rainbows were hungry for them.
Mick reports that it was great to once again meet old friends on the lake shores, although some of those shores have completely changed their appearance with trees down from the recent storm.
