The Killarney Salmon and Trout Angling Club held their Annual Juvenile Competition on Barfinnihy Lake on Friday evening, September 5th. Twenty seven young anglers turned up on the evening and they all had a great time trying to catch one of the lake’s many stocked trout. Also having a great evening were the mums, dads, brothers, sisters and grandparents who turned up on the night to help – a proper family affair in the Kerry hills!
There was plenty of work for the volunteer stewards, with good numbers of fish landed and the odd tangle to unpick. There was even a picnic or two along the shoreline – all that fishing would give any angler an appetite! Check out all of the action in the slideshow below!
IFI were proud to be able to support the club with some staff assistance on the ground, some gift packs for the participants and the use of the lake for the event.
