Anglers Noel O’Dowd and Tom Skerrit had a great day out last week. The pair were tench fishing at a Leitrim venue and they had caught some lovely fish. Between the two of them they caught 8 really good tench, every one of them over 5lb.
The tench fishing this year has veered towards exceptional despite the odd weather patterns. Reports like this have come from a good number of counties with lakes, ponds and canal venues all producing good fish. There’s probably never been a better time to try for a tench.
