Dave Haughton of Active Irish Angling reports:

John Bent has moved from the seaside resort of Wexford and dipped his toes into the waters of lovely Leitrim to share a cracking net of bream and hybrids on Castlefore Lough.

The lake is close to Keshcarrigan Village and local angling guide Dave Price shared an afternoon with John as they got stuck into quality fish using groundbait – carrying chopped worm and casters – in a depth of seven metres and casting 30 metres out. Worms were the top hookbait and produced bream hovering around 5 lb with lively roach and hybrids.
