Dave McGregor and Paddy Geraghty are bringing fishing to the masses – well, the few so far anyway! They’ve set up a fishing club called The Ramrods Boat Angling Club, and are looking for new members to come aboard. Total novices are welcome – the club is set up to cater for new anglers, and they are keen to get people involved in boat angling. The club books a number of charter trips every year with Dick Hayes, skipper of the Enterprise in Kilmore Quay, fishing from April to September. Fishing is kept to 6-8 people, so the boat is never crowded, and novices can learn from more experienced anglers beside them. Equipment is available, all you need is a willingness to learn.

Dave sent in some photos of a couple of their recent trips, where a number of new and novice anglers caught their first fish, and were (excuse the pun) hooked on angling!
