Lough Lene was a hive of activity recently and Mick flanagan has all the news…

Lots of action on Lene lately with some big qualifier competitions taking place, and club members, plus day ticket holders out on the Lake. The Irish Ladies fly anglers hosted a qualifier, as did the Irish youth anglers.

One of the best fly caught trout of the 2017 season was boated by Gary Carlon of Rathoath. Gary was fishing with competition captain Pat Browne and his prized catch weighed in at 7lbs 10oz. I also mentioned last week our pals Val Wynne and Owen McEnteggary were back on Lene.  The lads worked in Guinness, and Owen delivered to many local Pubs here in Town, plus has family members in Mullingar.
