A big thanks to Colin Rutherford who reports that the ‘pike rigs r us’ exclusive ( invite only) guys were out on the banks on Sunday on Lough Muckno in the south of Ireland for a “money in money out” pike competition. A total of 18 anglers braved the sub zero (-3) conditions for a chance to take the cash and the pike rigs r u s cup. Due to the challenging conditions results were poor with only 3 pike caught but a great days fishing was had by all that attended. The winning fish taken by Steven Manderson from Lurgan was caught on a static dead bait fished tight on the bottom. The fish weighed 6lb 6ozs. Robert Buckley from Dungannon who finished second had a 4lb fish on mackerel coated with a generous helping of fish oil. More about the pike rigs r us lads is available on their facebook page.
