Joe Byrne from Courtown Angling Centre has reported that fishing has been more difficult recently due to the poor weather conditions. Despite this anglers on board both the Puffin and Brazen Hussy have connected with fish and a number of tope over twenty pounds were taken recently. In addition to this, some nice gurnards have also been taken on board both boats. Anglers have also had lots of smooth-hounds and one had a lovely bullhuss weighing just over 8lbs. The bass fishing has also improved a bit and reports were also received of a bass of 10.5lbs being taken in the area during the last week.
Being located close to Dublin, Courtown is only a short journey for anyone wishing have a great day out. You may even connect with your first tope. You can rest assured that the Courtown team of Joe, Billy, Dave and Eileen will look after you during your visit.
