Sean Jordan of Bass Fishing Wexford reports that bright conditions in the first half of the week made dawn and dusk sessions the best option for sea-trout this week.

Sean found that these silvery predators were around in good numbers on a couple of marks at dusk. One sea trout caught on soft plastics had clearly been gorging on sandeels, with fish tails sticking from its gullet clearly visible. All the sea trout caught  were safely released to continue there nomadic lifestyle.

Sea anglers are advised to handle any sea trout inadvertently caught out of season or without a licence, with great care to assure their safe return to the sea.
