Alice Murtagh from the Inland Fisheries Ireland office at Corlesmore near Arvagh in Co. Cavan reports on Coarse angling catches. Some good mixed bags of fish around 30 lb. are being caught at the swimming pool area of Killykeen while bigger fish is being caught at the match section.  Trinity Island is also reported to be giving good bags of fish, especially for night time anglers. Some anglers fishing Corfree report good bags of fish including Bream, Roach, Hybrids and Skimmers.  Good fishing is reported on the canal at Riversdale Lock and Carrickmakeegan Bridge and the river between Kiltybarden and St Johns is fishing well for Bream and Hybrids. Ballinagh Angling Club held a three day competition on Killykeen, Grassy Bank, the Deeps and the new pegs.  Fifteen anglers fish and 531 kg. was caught over the three days.
