Carrigaholt skipper Luke Aston is delighted with the fishing in Clare and gives us an insight into how his week went:
10/10/2015: We went north of the Loop today in. Light to mid easterly wind. Lots of big Mackerel and plenty of white fish. Mostly Pollack and fine big Whiting but also some Ling and Cod.

11/10/2015: Fantastic weather today and plenty of fish including fine Pollack. A great time of the year !

Skipper Séan Maguire on the Lady Gwen II had a great bunch of anglers from Ennis out with him on Saturday. They contacted ‘Cod Fever’ but Séan had the cure with some great catches and all were saved !

Sunday saw a gorgeous day at sea, fishing was a bit slow and lazy early on but Séan and crew had some good fishing in the afternoon.

Go fishing…
