Alice Murtagh IFI from the Corlesmore office reports:
The annual Arva Seniors Challenge took place last week on Rockfield, Kevins Shore, Corfree, Dernaferst and Corfree. Fifty nine anglers took part in the competition and 1,404.035kg of fish was caught over the five days.

The following is a list of the top six winners:-
- Tony Geene 59.130kg
- Bob Nudd 42.560kg
- Neil Mazarek 40.300kg
- Neil Mallinson 37.450kg
- Mick Hargreaves 36.330kg
The Breffni Arms Hotel Challenge is taking place this week with fantastic fishing reported. Day one saw a total of 496.7kg caught and a winning weight of 25.65kg to Arthur Cunliff on peg 1 at Kevins Shore. In second place was Gary Charles with 20.85kg and third was Bob Brown with 19.970kg. All weights are being caught on the pole with mixed bags of Hybrids, Skimmers and a some Bream up to 2kg.

Good numbers of Tench and Hybrids are being caught on Brackley, while Corgar, Drumlona and Corduff are producing nice Tench. Little river between Kiltybarden and St Johns is giving good bags of fish while good Hybrids are being caught at Kiltybarden. Nice Bream are also being caught on the canal between locks 5, 6 and 7
